DESCRIPTION:
**click click** *The gun is loaded*
They justified their wrongdoings by making us believe they developed our nation. 'We gave you the railways' they say.
**ka ching** *The gun is cocked*
Our nation was the largest producer of cotton and several other raw materials. They set their eyes on it. They wanted it all.
**bang bang bang* The gun fires*
And like bullets, they used the railways to pierce through our nation, reaching even the nooks and corners. They used the railways to feed their massive ports which fed their country. And just like that, they slowly sucked the resources from our Mother.
So, NO. The railways was not a gift. It was a curse that we transformed into a blessing with our own sweat and blood.
